Beautiful Giftware
from Kinsale.

In order to fully understand the product, it was imperative to conduct a brand workshop with all the various stakeholders. This information was used to create Kinsale Giftware’s mission, vision, tone of voice, brand personality and establish a clear breakdown of who the buyer personas (customers) were. The workshop was also used to establish the brand’s story. The inspiration was taken from the Eirinn Clan from six-thousand years and Kinsale’s long tradition burning fires to guide sea-faring ships and as a means to communicate over long distances.

The brand identity was inspired by the beautiful Old Head of Kinsale lighthouse which was built in 1853. The lighthouse was an integral conduit between land and sea for the port town. The main deliverables for the project were a the collection of candles and diffusers. As the product price point is leaning towards the high-end it of the market, it was vital that the packagings design stayed loyal to this. The solution was to strip back the design to a more minimalist product.
