Kingdom Brick Supply® are a Californian based retail outlet and online store that specialise in LEGO®. They sell LEGO® sets to a very loyal customer base worldwide. KBS was founded through a love of LEGO® and the joy the their products bring to an extremely loyal customer base. The company also runs LEGO® regular events in the USA.

The Challenge

We were approached by Kingdom Brick Supply to undertake a rebranding of the company. Their existing brand identity wasn’t communicating a sense of expertise and playfulness that people associate with the LEGO products they sell.

They wanted a brand identity that reflected their mission statement, “to empower people of all ages with the tools to realise their ideas” and the logo to be responsive on mobile, desktop and print.

Our Approach

After our initial discovery call, we were able to understand the challenges and propose a roadmap to better connect with their audience. The main issues were to overcome the flexibility of the brand identity and the approachability of the design to match the humorous messaging. We set about making the brand more playful by leaning on the royalty aspect of the company name and introducing LEGO inspired pieces as recognisable elements that associate the product with the brands tone of voice.
