BlackBee are an alternative investment manager that seek to combine strong investment returns with quantifiable impact and societal reach.

The Challenge

BlackBee Investments are a financial services company with offices in Cork and Dublin. They design and deliver the building blocks that empower their clients to create great portfolios and build better financial futures. BlackBee places huge importance on their culture of investing smartly in their people and combine this with cutting edge fin-tech systems making the company one of the fastest growing financial investment firms in Europe.

In order to communicate this significant investment in their business, we were tasked with creating a brand identity that would work across all print and digital platforms. The redesign brief emphasised positioning the brand as a market leader in finance, complementing their new suite of tech applications and enhance their already stellar relationships with their client base.

Our Approach

In order to fulfill the brief, extensive workshops and research needed to be undertaken. It was imperative to make sure the new brand would maintain the core values of BlackBee and emphasise the technological advancements that BlackBee has been rigorously working towards.

The new brand identity uses the letter ‘b’ monogram as its main logo mark. The hexagon shape was maintained to ensure consistency from the original brand identity and is open-ended in the y value to communicate the consistent growth of the company. The geometric style of the logo mark reflects BlackBee’s solid foundations as a basis from which to grow through its culture of brilliant minds and commitment to investing in cutting edge fin-tech.
