Irish businesses are losing out on a vital stream of revenue

Irish consumers are increasingly looking towards online purchasing as a convenient alternative to conventional shopping. Over 70% of all online sales by Irish residents involve companies that are not based in Ireland. This is an alarming trend reflects badly on the lack of modernisation of Irish businesses and unwillingness to embrace new technologies. It is also estimated that only 23% of small to medium sized Irish businesses are engaged in any meaningful way in eCommerce sales. Can your businesses afford to be lose out on this growing stream of revenue?

Did you know that your business might be eligible to avail of an eCommerce website grant

To counteract this alarming trend Ireland’s local enterprise boards have introduced an eCommerce website grant known as the online trading voucher. “To support small Irish businesses to enhance their online trading presence, Online Trading Vouchers to the value of € 2,500 (up to a maximum of 50% of the total cost) are now available to Irish Businesses through a programme under the Government’s National Digital Strategy and delivered through the Local Enterprise Offices”.
