What do the majority of successful companies and organisations have in common? Apart from thriving in their particular fields, these companies are extremely coordinated. In order to effectively communicate this high level of organisation to the public, every company must create a public perception. This perception is dictated through the implementation of branding. A brand is not just a logo, it is a perception that is communicated through everything, from the logo, stationary, uniforms, signage, website, social media channels, vehicles, etc. When creating a brand or rebranding a company the logo design and brand guidelines dictate how the company is perceived by the public. In this article we show you a comprehensive list of ‘Opus Creative Rebranding Projects 2013 – 2015’.

Ard Na Laoi AFC Rebrand (2013)

Ard Na Laoi AFC is a Cork based soccer club located in Leemount. The club was founded in 1978 by native Irish speakers and is Ireland’s only soccer club to be named in gaelic. Ard Na Laoi AFC approached Opus Creative to give the club crest a makeover and better represent the meaning of the clubs name, Ard Na Laoi/Over The River Lee. Our approach was to visually communicate the names meaning in a more contemporary logo design to the original logo that was designed over twenty years ago. The result was keeping the same design principles in a new aesthetic that represents the status of the club as a growing entity both on and off the field of play.

The Holiday Show Rebrand (2013)

The Holiday Show is a popular Irish travel programme broadcasted on TV3 Ireland and syndicated on networks throughout Europe and Asia. The show was first broadcast in 2008 and continues to garner six digit viewing figures on TV3 in Ireland. The Holiday Show is a travel show produced by Trilogy Media and hosted by Jon Slattery and Ciara Whelan.

Opus Creative were approached by the shows’s production company to completely modernerise the existing show branding along with creating an improved website from which to promote the TV show. The feeling amongst the production company management was that the 2008 logo wasn’t appealing to their core demographic, it wasn’t versatile as a stand alone logo across all media platforms and the aesthetic didn’t characterise the high end production values that the TV show created.
